Good Tidings for Christmas by brandrificus Good Tidings for Christmas by brandrificus
:music: "Better "Days " by The GooGoo Dolls . :music:
..........................[link] ..........................

And you asked me what I wanty this year ,
and I try to make this kind and clear ,
Just a chance that we;ll find better days.
'cause I don't need boxes wrapped in string,
and designer love and empty things.
Just a chance that we'll find better days !

I need someplace simple where we can live ,
And something only you can give ,
And that's faith and trust and peace while we're alive!
And the one poor chiild who saved this world !
And there's ten million more who probably could ,
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them !

So take these words ,
and sing out loud!
'cause everyone is forgiven now
'cause tonight't the night the world begins again !

I wish that everyone was loved tonight!
And somehow stop this endless fight !
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days !

Created for the "Victorian Christmas" challenge at :iconmanipulatethis: level 4

This is by far the largest scale manipulation I've ever done , and with more stocks than ever before.I wanted to create a scene from a Christmas shopping day from an old Victorian town. I wanted to show the giving , the loving , the fun and the( ever timeless) hustleing spirit of the season all in one shot .I wanted some snow , but didn't want the scene burried in it. So I decided to creat a light flurry of snow just starting to fall onto the scene . Also I wanted to experement with depth , and perspective as if taking a phot from the top of a hilled city street.. Comments , critiques and feedback is most welcome !

I love this concept! A busy Victorian Christmas street at Christmas time. You did a great job selecting the right stock to create a believable scene. I also like the fact that you chose two from the required stock poses that are perfect for your scene but is not really used that much for the contest itself.

However, there is something I like to suggest that would make this even better. It's missing a stronger sense of atmospheric perspective. Objects and people do get smaller as they go back into the furthest background, but they don't get lighter and fuzzier. Because of that, there's a slight confusion in the illusion you're creating (that is, taking a 2-d surface and making it look more 3-d).

I hope you understand what I mean and try to get a truer sense of atmospheric perspective. I think that would bring your deviation to a very high level of manipulations. :)

When I first saw this as a thumb , I doubt it could be a manipulation because , it was so crowded as no one can ever collect too many stocks in his mind for a manipulation . everything blend together perfectly . the whole image looks like a painting wonderfully executed what would make it a DD project absolutely stunning.
I just have some thing to say about the sky , it has a white part I think it's because of the sky stock , dunno cuz I didn't check the huge amount of stocks. anything else I just coudn't say anything about it that should take a lot of work and effort from the talented brandrificus.
