Hope

....I prayed for salvation for my daughter abover myself . Prayed to the very God who brought down this destruction upon us.Would it even do us any good to pray now?

I'd managed to find my way to the bomb shelter , but it was no match for the fury unfolding outside. When it caved , it was all I could do to save my most precious little one, to throw myself over her helpless form. I knew it wouldn't be enough to keep her completely unscathed , but enough to keep her alive.

Bruised and bloody , I somehow managed to free us from the darkened and smokey rubble , but the days of darkness kept us here alone and scared.We could not tell the night from the dawn. It's a miricle I was even able to find the first aid kit and water I had stored down here so long ago.

If it was a days or a weeks I will never know , but there was a sudden , glistening ray of light from somewhere in the near distance.Light , the Light save me , there was light!!!!! In my heightened state of hope , I gathered what strength I had left , lifted my baby girl up , and scattered for it's scource.
.......and there , breaking through the smoke , ash , and rubble outside our horrifying sanctuary , was that shining beacon of hope brought to life before our eyes . We were ....................... survivors................





My level 3 entry to the "Post Apocalypse Now"stock Challenge

This is the first Challenge I have decided to take on . It is WELL outside what I usually like to create. However, thanks the the group "Manipulate This" I have decided to challenge myself in a way I wouldn't have otherwise. Looking foward to hearing what everyone thinks of this , as I am fairly pleased with how it turned out !!
